Russia sends generators to Crimea amid blockade

Russian Emergency Ministry has sent 300 generators to Crimea after a major power-line sabotage.

The peninsula has been left in frequent blackout after parts of power transmission poles were bombed on Sunday.

Ukrainian nationalists and some activists from ethnic Crimean Tatars started to blockade the access by power maintenance crew to the region several days ago, leaving about 1.8 million people in the Crimean peninsula without electricity.
