Russia strikes IS where it really hurts: oil

Russian airstrikes have cut the Islamic State illegal oil trade in half.
That’s according to the Fox News channel, quoting unnamed sources on the ground.
US Air Force retired Lt. General Thomas McInerney told Fox News during a live broadcast that Russian strikes have prevented the group from taking more oil fields.
He said the Russians are using air power more effectively than the U.S.
Russia started its own airstrikes in Syria in September at the request of Syrian President Bashar al-Assad.
A US-led coalition has been conducting airstrikes in Syria since September 2014.
