S. Korea confirms traces of radioactive gas from DPRK’s nuclear test

South Korea said on Wednesday that traces of radioactive xenon gas were confirmed to be from the DPRK’s latest nuclear test. The Nuclear Safety and Security Commission said its land-based xenon detector in the northeastern part of the country found traces of xenon-133 isotope on nine occasions. However, the commission could not confirm whether the recent nuclear test conducted by Pyongyang was a hydrogen bomb.
