S. Korea, Japan strike deal to resolve the issue of ‘comfort women’

South Korea and Japan have reached a landmark agreement to resolve the issue of wartime sex slaves known as “comfort women”. The agreement was reached when top diplomats from both sides met in Seoul on Monday. South Korean Foreign Minister Yun Byung-Se said the deal would be “final and irreversible”, if Japan fulfills its responsibilities.
