S. Korea, US say DPRK’s satellite reached orbit

South Korea’s Defense Ministry and the US Department of Defense have both confirmed that a satellite Pyongyang launched into space earlier this week is now in orbit. The South Korean ministry also released still photographs of what may be rocket debris. Meanwhile in Pyongyang, state media reported that over 150,000 people had celebrated the successful launch at Kim Il Sung Square and the Juche Tower Square on Monday.
