S.Korean firms in Kaesong required to adopt Pyongyang time

South Korean officials said on Monday their companies in North Korea’s Kaesong Industrial Complex are required to adopt North Korea’ s new time zone.
Officials said they will take all necessary measures to ensure a smooth transition to the new time.
North Korea pushed back its standard time by 30 minutes to GMT+8:30 on midnight Saturday.
The move to “Pyongyang Time” coincided with the 70th anniversary of the Korean peninsula’s 1945 liberation from Japanese colonial rule.
