Sanctuary offers hope for endangered Philippine eagle

The Philippine eagle is an endangered species, with just hundreds believed to be alive in the wild. At a small conservation center in the south of the Philippines, activists are running the world’s only breeding program for the eagles. As the national bird of the Philippines, killing one is punishable by a maximum 12-year prison term and a 21,000 US dollar fine.
