Saudi Arabia rejects U.S. law for violating principle of sovereign immunity

Saudi Arabia rejected on Thursday the recently passed U.S. law “JASTA” , highlighting that the enactment of law is of great concern.
U.S. Congress voted on Wednesday to override President Barack Obama’s veto of the controversial bill allowing families of the victims of 9/11 terror attacks to sue Saudi Arabia for compensations.
In a statement, an official at the Saudi Foreign Affairs Ministry said the erosion of sovereign immunity will have a negative impact on all nations, including the United States.
