Military officials in Yemen said that at least 44 people were killed in recent clashes among Saudi-backed government forces, Shiite Houthi rebels, and fighters loyal to ousted President Ali Abdullah Saleh. Fighting has persisted across the country despite a supposed truce that came into effect in April. More than 6,400 people have been killed in clashes since March 2015, according to UN.
