Seeking solutions to China’s pollution crisis

The hazardous smog that shrouded most of northeast China last month has turned the spotlight on coal-fired boilers again. As winter climaxes, thousands of households turn on the heating peaking pollution to record high levels – the warmer the homes, the more pollutants are likely to be released in the air. According to a group of environmentalists who were trying to replace the boiler system, using electricity is a viable solution but it comes with a financial burden
