Shandong mine rescue: Contact established with trapped workers

Six days have passed, and rescue operations are continuing at a collapsed gypsum mine in east China’s Shandong Province. 17 miners are still trapped or unaccounted for in two different sections.  A second tunnel has been dug, and contact has been established with at least four people trapped in the southwest section. This brings hope of finally reaching the miners and getting them out alive.
