The annual Shangri-La Dialogue, one of Asia’s largest annual security forums, is underway in Singapore. On Saturday, the second day of debate, key issues including regional security challenges, the DPRK’s nuclear threat and the South China Sea were discussed. The United States and Japan criticized China on the South China Sea issue. Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Hua Chunying said the two nations were ignoring basic facts and making groundless accusations against China. She said their aim was to set China against its neighbors.
