A rescue team for the Shenzhen landslide detected possible signs of life on Monday afternoon in the ruins of a car. They searched for the suspected trapped victims using both their hands and machinery. The rescue process lasted for 10 hours. After no one was found, they moved to another area to continue their rescue attempts. The number of people still missing after Sunday’s landslide in Shenzhen was revised to 85 from 91 after further checks, and rescue workers retrieved the first body on Tuesday morning.
