Shiv Sena Cancelled Ghulam Ali Concert

Shiv Sena on Wednesday (October 7) threatened to protest if the October 9 concert of Pakistani gazal singer Ghulam Ali in Mumbai, is not cancelled. The Shiv Sena’s Chitrapat Sena, general secretary Akshay Badrapurkar met the people at Shanmukhanand hall, to cancel the Pakistani gazal singer’s show. “We are against any form of cultural association with Pakistan. We cannot have ties with a country that kills our soldiers. They are against us why should we let their singers perform here?” asked Badrapurkar. “Today we are requesting them to cancel the program, if they don’t then we will be forced to protest in our style,’ he added. Earlier, the Sena had protested against Atif Aslam’s concert and was even against Pakistan cricket team playing on Indian soil.
