Survey shows that more than 121 million shoppers plan to shop online on Cyber Monday, the traditional online sales event by sellers to entice customers.
That number is down from the 126.9 million who planned to take advantage of Cyber Monday deals.
The figures are released by the National Retail Federation, a trade group representing retailers from the United States and more than 45 countries
With 29.6 million shoppers are planning to use their smartphones to buy this Cyber Monday, the survey reports many stores have optimized their mobile websites to ensure a seamless shopping experience.
Research firm ShopperTrak reports that Thanksgiving sales in stores fell from more than 2 billion U.S. dollars, while Black Friday sales were off more than 1 billion U.S. dollars.
