‘Should Japan learn a lesson from its past?’ – Japanese scholar

“Should Japan learn a lesson from its past or try to overturn it?”

That was the core question raised by Japanese scholar Akira Yamada in his book “How Japan should face up to history”.

During an exclusive, Yamada said the government led by Shinzo Abe must improve in its historical recognition. If not, it would cost the country greatly in the future.
