Silk Road photo exhibition retraces journeys of Marco Polo and Zheng He

A photography exhibition dubbed “Silk Road Journey” has opened at the Reignwood Center in Beijing. Michael Yamashita, famed as a photographer for “National Geographic Magazine”, took the shots over eight years from 1999 as he traced the routes of Marco Polo’s overland journey to Asia, as well as Admiral Zheng He’s epic sea voyages from China to Arabia and Africa. During his adventure, he captured images of war zones, deserts and no man’s lands. Yamashita also found evidence that Marco Polo really did make his trip to China. Take a look!
