Singapore Air Force opens to public

Themed “Defending Our Skies”, the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) Open House 2016 lasts two days at Paya Lebar Air Base.

Visitors are invited to have a close contact with the country’s airforce for free.

“We do hope the public can have a lot more better understand of RSAF, we do want to showcase to them what’s our mission, what’s our operation, as capability, more importantly, we also want to use this opportunity to showcase our men behind the scene that ensure the mission of the RSAF, how the guys working hard behind the scene to defend the skies and keep Singapore safe.”

And to enable the visitors to have a real experience, the RSAF has set up more aircraft and weapon simulators this year.

30-minute aerial performance, which runs twice each day, is the highlights of event.

The country’s fighter jets, ground-based air defence systems and air-land operations are all part of the performance.

Moreover, more than 20 types of the latest aircraft and weapon systems are on display during the open days.
