Singapore, China sign nine agreements at top-level bilateral meeting in Chongqing

Singapore and China have signed nine agreements at the Joint Council for Bilateral Cooperation
meeting in Chongqing. Deputy Prime Minister Heng Swee Keat and Chinese Vice Premier
Han Zheng also reviewed cooperation in key areas like the Belt and Road Initiative, economic
transformation and trade liberalisation. The leaders also pledged to further strengthen collaboration and come up with events to mark 30 years of diplomatic relations in 2020.
