Singapore has held a state funeral for its former President S. R. Nathan. The ceremony took place at the Cultural Centre of the National University of Singapore. Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong led the tributes at the service. More than 20,000 people paid their last respects to Singapore’s sixth and longest-serving president on Thursday and Friday. S.R. Nathan passed away on Monday night at the age of 92, three weeks after suffering a stroke.
