Singapore’s Trade and Industry Minister Chan Chun Sing said the situation in Hong Kong has escalated to a breaking point, and that it is difficult to move forward unless calm is restored. He added that there are lessons for Singaporeans to draw from the situation in Hong Kong, such as having a well-functioning political system, good long-term policies and social cohesion.
