Six injured in a fire near Trivandrum

At least six persons were injured on Thursday (April 28) when some inflammable solution was ignited by unidentified persons inside the village office in Vellarada, about 45 km away from Thiruvananthapuram. “Some persons came into the office and poured some inflammable solution and ignited. We are not able to confirm right now about any explosion,” a senior police official told PTI. One person, who suffered burn injuries, was taken to the Medical College hospital here, while the other five were admitted to a private hospital. Some files and documents kept at the office were reportedly burnt, police said, adding that investigations are on.
