Thailand police say the Chinese tourist who was bitten during a snake show in Phuket will receive compensation.
The 29-year-old Shanghai woman has now returned to home country.
Last weekend, on the resort island of Phuket, a Chinese tourist was bitten on her nose when trying to kiss a python during a snake show.
The woman was then sent to a local hospital, where she received stitches.
Organizer says the snake show is a traditional entertainment for tourists, though it’s the first time that the python bites.
And organizer will pay the Chinese tourist about 20,000 yuan or 3,000 U.S. dollars in compensation for this accident.
Some netizen criticized that the show is too dangerous to let tourists play with or touch the animal.
