South China Sea: French document shows Taiping Island is not a rock

A historical document collected by the France National Library shows the Taiping Island of the Nansha Islands is an island, not a rock. In the Indo-China Economic Report written by French explorers, there is a map of Taiping Island, showing French colonists had built infrastructure on the island and cultivated many plants there 80 years ago. The area is 2.5 kilometers long and 1 kilometer wide, and can clearly allow islanders to be self-sufficient.
