South Korea, Japan urge DPRK to halt satellite launch

South Korea and Japan have warned that the DPRK will pay a harsh price if it goes ahead with its planned launch. They believe Pyongyang is planning to test a long-range ballistic missile, not a satellite. Seoul urged Pyongyang to drop the launch.  It says the move would be a serious breach of UN resolutions, which ban the DPRK from test-firing any rockets based on a ballistic missile technology.
