South Korea has marked the second anniversary of a deadly ferry disaster. A total of 304 people, mostly school students, were killed when the ship capsized off the South Korea’s southern coast on April 16, 2014. Official and cultural events have been designed to pay tribute to the victims. Prime Minister Hwang Kyo-ahn offered his condolences to the families of the victims. The government has set up a joint altar in Ansan where visitors can pay tribute to the victims. Civic groups and the victims’ families are scheduled to hold a cultural event in central Seoul later in the day.
