South Korean President Park Geun-hye has said the deployment of the THAAD missile defense system in the country was “inevitable” because of what she said was a “growing threat” from the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea. Park said Pyongyang could stage an act of aggression at any time, including a fifth nuclear test or a cyberattack. Park said the government will take measures to protect the country from such threats.
