South Korean president promises new sanctions on Pyongyang

South Korean President Park Geun-hye has announced that Seoul will focus on securing “new and strong” international sanctions against Pyongyang at the UN Security Council. At a meeting in Seoul on Thursday, Park said that past negotiations had failed to stop the expansion of the DPRK’s nuclear program. South Korean media have reported that Pyongyang may conduct a sixth nuclear test soon.
