Some of China’s southeastern and central provinces are experiencing heavy rainfall. In the central city of Anyang, Henan Province, 40,000 residents have been evacuated to safety. Tourist sites like Zhangjiajie in the southern province of Hunan have experienced landslides as a result of the torrential downpours. More than 80 tourists were stuck in tour buses, but were soon rescued by local firefighters. The Feng Du Mountains in the Chongqing municipality have also been temporarily closed due to flooding in the area.
