Southern China floods: 14 people killed, one missing in Wuhan

The floods have displaced millions of people and caused billions of yuan in direct economic losses. One of the hardest hit regions is Central China’s Hubei province, located along the mid to lower reaches of the Yangtze River. 14 people have lost their lives and one is missing due to weather-related incidents. The provincial capital Wuhan has witnessed a record 560 millimeters of precipitation over the past week. About 760,000 people there are affected.
