Strike-hit France vows a smooth Euro 2016

France has promised drastic measures to ensure the smooth running of the Euro 2016. The soccer tournament kick starts on Friday evening as strikes paralyze the nation’s garbage and railway services. Paris Mayor Anne Hidalgo said dozens of trucks have been dispatched to rid France’s capital city of piling rubbish after 12 days of strikes. It is estimated that over 2.5 million foreign and French fans will attend the month-long tournament.
