South Korea’s military strategy may be causing problems for their politicians at home. As protests against South Korea’s THAAD missile deployment sweep across the country, public support for President Park Geun-hye continues to drop. According to a recent poll, Park’s popularity has dropped by 4 points in the past week. 61 percent of interviewees say they have a negative opinion of Park. Many observers have linked the recent dip to Park’s insistence on deploying the THAAD missile system in North Gyeongsang.
