Supraja Dharini: Protecting sea turtles for 14 years | Amazing Indians

When Supraja Dharini discovered the plight of the sea turtles, threatened on the shores of southern India, she decided to start the TREE Foundation to help with their conservation. Today, Dharini is one of Chennai’s leading conservationists and works in close association with the youth from the fishing community. She also conducts environment education workshops which highlight turtle conservation methods. Due to her efforts, more than 32,000 students in 56 schools and 18 colleges in Chennai have participated in environmental awareness programmes. She is an extraordinary eco-saviour!
