Sushma, Vasundhara will not resign : Rajnath Singh

Home Minister Rajnath Singh today ruled out the possibility of resignations of any Union Minister including Sushma Swaraj who is under attack in the ‘Lalitgate’ controversy. “Our ministers do not have to resign. This is not UPA government, this is NDA government,” he said. Union Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad also added that the actions of the NDA ministers were not similar in proportion to those of the UPA ministers’. These statements come on a day when a Delhi court said that the plea against HRD minister Smriti Irani in the fake degree row case is ‘maintainable’, which has led to the Opposition demanding her resignation. TIMES NOW had exposed the involvement of External Affairs Minister Sushma Swaraj and Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje in helping Lalit Modi’s travel and stay in the UK, even when the Enforcement Directorate was probing cases of financial irregularities against him.
