Nobel laureate Aung San Suu Kyi’s party has won in Myanmar’s historic election. The National League for Democracy (NLD) secured 348 seats — it required 329 seats for a majority —in the country’s House of Representatives (Lower House) and the House of Nationalities (Upper House), according to Myanmar’s Union Election Commission. It is the country’s first freely held election in the last 25 years.
