Synthetic drugs rise as a new threat in China as it gains popularity among young addicts

Sunday marks the UN’s International Day against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. The number of young people taking drugs is gradually rising in China, and most of them opt for synthetic drugs like methamphetamine, which could be more dangerous and harmful than conventional drugs. CCTVNEWS visited a drug rehabilitation center in southwest China’s Guizhou Province to talk to one of the young addicts there.
