Syria conflict: Damascus orders Aleppo residents to leave city

Syria has announced it will reduce the number of air strikes and artillery attacks on rebel-held quarters in the besieged city of Aleppo. At least 270 people have been killed in Aleppo since Damascus launched an all-out assault to recapture the city two weeks ago. The Syrian military has ordered civilians to leave the city for safer areas and urged rebel fighters to disarm and retreat.
