An extended truce has gone into effect in the Syrian city of Aleppo. Displaced families have returned home and schools reopened in rebel-held districts. More than 300 civilians were killed in two weeks of fighting in the divided city before the original truce took hold on Thursday. Syrian troops had launched air strikes on the opposition-held east and rebels had shelled the government-controlled west before the truce.
