Syria’s state news agency SANA has said an unidentified group of rebels has surrendered to the army in Aleppo. They are the first to hand themselves in since the Syrian government offered amnesty to all rebels who surrender within 30 days earlier this week. So far the government has opened three safe exits for civilians, and one for rebels who want to turn themselves over to the authorities. Currently, there are still around 300,000 civilians in rebel-held areas of Aleppo.
