Talks between Myanmar’s government and ethnic groups underway

A landmark peace conference between Myanmar’s government and armed ethnic groups continues in the country’s capital, Nay Pyi Taw. The “21st Century Panglong Peace Conference” aims to end decades of domestic conflict by building a democratic federal union. So far, delegates have agreed to start a national dialogue right after the conference. The Panglong Peace Conference is the largest set of peace talks held in Myanmar.
