Two teachers at a kindergarten school in Hohhot, the capital of north China’s Inner Mongolia, were detained by local police after footage of their abusive behavior surfaced online.
The footage was released by local policeman when they received an inquiry from a child’s parent asking for surveillance camera footage after their kid was found with varying degrees of injuries on his cheeks and lips.
The parents were shocked when they watched the video as they saw one of the teachers beating the child on his head while another teaching was slapping other students.
The teachers had abused almost all of the 20 students, around 3 to 4 years old, in that class.
The local education department said both teachers are qualified but has ordered the closure of the kindergarten school. Officials suspect that the school was being operated without license.
Meanwhile, the police are investigating the teachers.
