Telecoms fraud: 18-year-old girl dies of heart attack after tuition fees swindled

The number of telecoms fraud cases in China has seen a sharp rise in recent years, with victims suffering great financial losses. But this time, the price was heavy, as an 18-year-old student died after being swindled of her college tuition fees. Xu Yuyu, from Linyi, a city in east China’s Shandong Province, suffered a heart attack and passed away last Sunday. Before the incident she is said to have been in good health.
