Thailand’s voters have approved a new military-backed constitution that will set the framework for the country’s political life. With 94 percent of the vote counted, early results from the Election Commission showed just over 61 percent of the country had voted in favor of the charter. Almost 38 percent rejected it with a voter turnout of approximately 55 percent.
