Thailand’s elections will take place on March 24, 2019, with opposition parties hoping to bring democracy back into Thai politics.
One of them is the Future Forward Party, or Anakhort Thai, led by Thanathorn Juangroongruangkit, the executive vice president of Thai Summit Group. He uses social media tools like Twitter to reach out to young and first-time voters.
But with the dissolution of the pro-Thaksin Thai Raksa Chart Party after its nomination of Princess Ubolratana as its sole prime ministerial candidate, there are questions as to whether a similar fate could befall Future Forward and its leader, who faces criminal charges for criticising the military regime.
