The historic sites of Pearl Harbor

Pearl Harbor is located on Oahu, Hawaii.
It was attacked by the Japanese Imperial Navy on December 7, 1941.
The USS Arizona Battleship was hit and sunk.
More than 1,100 people lost their lives.
In 1962, the United States government decided to build a memorial to honor those young lives lost.
74 years have passed by.
Yet the the oil inside Arizona continues to leak.
Or what has become known as “the tears of Arizona”.
The sinking of the Arizona Battleship drew the U.S. into the WWII.
On September 2, 1945, the USS Missouri pulled into Tokyo Bay, where Japan officially surrendered.
