The Kelantan Shuttle

After the 2014 floods, the 527km East Coast Line was cut into two; cut off from the rest of the country’s rail network, with many of its trains destroyed. A few trains survived the destruction on a separated 130km track, and were repurposed as the state’s only train service known as the Kelantan Shuttle.

Patrick Lee joined the ride that journeyed into Malaysian’s rural northeastern heartlands.
