Criticising the Allahabad police for going on a moral policing drive in the city termed as ‘Operation Majnu’, Vikram Singh, Former DGP, Uttar Pradesh, said that Operation Majnu was set up 20 years ago to fight serious cases, including that of acid attacks, rapes and stalking. “The very fact that this (Operation Majnu) has been dumb down and degraded to this level of depravity should not have happened,” he said.
