Led by the twin legends of Mick Jagger and Keith Richards, The Rolling Stones put on a show in the Argentinean city of La Plata, 55 kilometers from Buenos Aires, to which thousands of their fans had flocked.
“Hello Argentina, 10 years is a long time,” called out Jagger to over 53,000 people, harking back to the Stones’ third visit to the country in 2006.
The quarter, with drummer Charlie Watts and bassist Ron Wood, played 19 songs over the course of a two-hour concert. As is his custom, Jagger danced and enthused the audience, while the crowd danced into the night.
Earlier in the day, the band members were named guests of honor of the city of La Plata, capital of the province of Buenos Aires.
