Three killed, 40 wounded in Turkey police station attack

Three people have been killed and 40 wounded after a car bomb exploded near a police station in Turkey’s eastern province of Van. All victims are said to be civilians. Van deputy governor Mehmet Parlak blamed militants of the Kurdish Workers’ Party, or PKK, for carrying out the attack. According to the state-run Anadolu news agency, one suspect has been detained and is being questioned by police.
