‘Thunder of North’ military drills to begin in Saudi Arabia

An 18-day joint military exercise dubbed “Thunder of North” is set to begin on Wednesday near Saudi Arabia’s border with Iraq. Around 350,000 troops from 20 countries will take part in drills in Hafr Al-Batin, north of Riyadh. The organizers claim that it’s the largest military exercise ever conducted in the region involving ground, air and naval forces.
